Alaska was near the top of the places I wanted to go and in the summer just after my graduation, my family flew to Alaska with a family friend. We flew into Anchorage and rented two cars. We drove down to Whittier to take a boat around the Prince William Sound. After Whittier, we made it as far south as Seward before backtracking to Anchorage. With the southern portion of the trip done, we went north to Denali National Park and as far as Fairbanks. All the places were absolutely gorgeous, and the weather wasn't that cold either, aside from being in the Prince William Sound, next to all those glaciers that is. All the photos were taken with my point and shoot successor to my crappy Olympus, the Canon A80. It's a great point and shoot with a lot of flexibility for a low price to boot. I also brought my parent's really old Nikon EM 35mm SLR with a Vivitar 200mm lens, but I didn't post any of those photos. I'm not sure what was wrong, but there was an odd hue to the water in all of the photos. Artistic concentration: ? Moderate-low Equipment: Canon A80 |
